In most cases the masculine singular (which has no suffix) forms two closed syllables, with the \u05d9 acting as a vowel letter: \u05d4\u05b4\u05d6\u05b0-\u05db\u05b4\u05bc\u05d9\u05e8 (he has caused someone to remember).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--80);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--80)\">The perfect suffixes in binyan hif\u2019il are the same as those in pa\u2019al and all the other binyanim. In the hif\u2019il third person feminine and plural forms, however, the suffix is not stressed; the stress is on the next-to-last syllable \u2013 the one with the \u05d9 vowel letter \u2013 not on the last syllable: \u05d4\u05b4\u05d6\u05b0-\u05db\u05b4\u05bc\u05ab\u05d9-\u05e8\u05b8\u05d4 , \u05d4\u05b4\u05d6\u05b0-\u05db\u05b4\u05bc\u05ab\u05d9-\u05e8\u05d5\u05bc (they\/she have caused [someone] to remember).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--80);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--80)\">In the first and second person, the \u05d9 drops out; the vowels and the stress of the last two syllables are identical to pa\u2019al. \u05d4\u05b4\u05d6\u05b0-\u05db\u05b7\u05bc\u05ab\u05e8-\u05ea\u05b4\u05bc\u05d9 (I have caused [someone] to remember).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--80);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--80)\">The \u05e4&#8221;\u05e0 and \u05dc&#8221;\u05d4 paradigms produce modifications to the hif\u2019il forms that are parallel to those in other binyanim. However, the \u05e4&#8221;\u05d9 paradigm has a different compensation; the \u05d9 root letter changes to a \u05d5\u05b9 vowel letter: \u05d4\u05d5\u05b9\u05e6\u05b4\u05d9\u05d0 (he has brought [something] out).
