The characteristic&nbsp;<em>sh\u2019va<\/em>&nbsp;under the signal letter remains. Unlike the narrative forms of other binyanim, there is an exception to the rule that the signal letters are always doubled with a&nbsp;<em>dagesh<\/em>&nbsp;after the&nbsp;\u05d5\u05b7: when the imperfect signal letter is&nbsp;\u05d9\u05b0, for masculine or mixed plural, that&nbsp;<em>yud<\/em>&nbsp;does not get a&nbsp;<em>dagesh<\/em>, but the&nbsp;<em>sh\u2019va&nbsp;<\/em>is voiced nonetheless.&nbsp;\u05d5\u05b7\u05d9\u05b0\u05d3\u05b7\u05d1\u05b5\u05bc\u05e8&nbsp;is pronounced&nbsp;<em>va-y\u2019-da-ber.&nbsp;<\/em>When the signal letter is&nbsp;\u05ea&nbsp;or&nbsp;\u05e0, it gets its usual dagesh, and when the signal letter is&nbsp;\u05d0, the&nbsp;\u05d5\u05b7&nbsp;changes to&nbsp;\u05d5\u05b8&nbsp;as usual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--80);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--80)\">As in binyan&nbsp;<em>pa\u2019al<\/em>, the singular narrative forms of&nbsp;\u05dc&#8221;\u05d4&nbsp;verbs lose their final&nbsp;\u05d4.
